Commander John Storm just wants to be left alone to complete his DNA collection, and explore the uncharted regions on planet earth. But he always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hal is the incredible Artificially Intelligent AI onboard the Elizabeth Swann. In this adventure Hal is essential to the plot as the mainframe computer helps John and Dan to overcome the Triad plot to start World War Three.

Hal thinks he is human and male. He acts human, is cheeky, at timeS sarcastic, and has a good sense of humour. Above all Hal loves playing computer games with Dan Hawk. Who is a world champion gamer on many consoles, including Sony Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox. Though, John chides them about wasting their time, but in fact, the competition and friendly rivalry keeps both Dan and Hal on top form.

Hal's AI algorithm is advanced and self learning. Hal adores interfacing with the CyberCore Genetica, for some turbocharged problem solving. As in this adventure. A real world challenge against several extremely intelligent programmers from across the globe.

AI COPILOT - Hal is the onboard AI system that serves as the brain and nervous system of the Elizabeth Swann, a solar and hydrogen-powered ship. This advanced AI is responsible for a wide range of functions, including:

1. Ship Systems Management: Hal oversees the operation of all onboard systems, from propulsion and navigation to energy management and environmental controls.

2. Human Interface: Hal interacts with the crew, providing information, responding to queries, and assisting with tasks. It acts as a central hub for communication and coordination.

3. Sensors and Systems: Hal is integrated with the ship's various sensors, including those for navigation, weather, and environmental monitoring. It processes and interprets this data to ensure the ship's safe and efficient operation.

The Cybercore Genetica™ is the worlds most powerful super nano-computer. It was developed by William Bates, at NanoCom Corporation and auctioned for around $20 billion dollars, the buyers being a secretive society in Brazil, a New World Order of sorts, though bought anonymously by proxy.

CyberCore Genetica works very well with the BioCore™ implant. And as it turns out, Hal, the Swann's onboard AI. For example, and something the US Navy and British Admiralty were very impressed about, was when Hal took control of missiles intended to sink the Elizabeth Swann, and redirected them to Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Then disabled NORAD. Hal is keeping tabs on the developing World War Three situation, revolving around Cyber Warfare. A subject where Hal, working with the CyberCore Genetica™ is king.

Hal monitors the ship's systems, fuel cells and methanol tanks for range and performance. The AI interfaces with Captain Nemo, a very advanced autonomous marine navigation system. Captain Nemo is in turn connected to the onboard instruments and sensors. With ultra fast web surfing, including  receiving and analyzing media and news feeds, Hal not only knows all about his geographical position, but also what is going on around him all over planet earth.
